Call for papers
This
conference is the second to be organized by the Nordic Network in
Development Economics (NNDE). The network includes junior and senior professors,
young economists, as well as graduate students. Members of NNDE include
Finn Tarp and Henrik Hansen in Copenhagen, Peter Svedberg and Jakob
Svensson in Stockholm, Arne Bigsten in Gothenburg, Karl O. Moene and
Halvor Mehlum in Oslo, and Bertil Tungodden and Gaute Torsvik in Bergen. The NNDE
is under further development and the NCDE-2 will have as a specific aim to establish
plans for the future, including a broadening of the membership.
The conference is open for submissions within any sub-field of development
economics. Ph.D.-students are encouraged to submit papers and to
participate in the conference. This will be an excellent opportunity for
economists working on development issues to share their ongoing research
with a wide range of colleagues from all Nordic countries.
Please note that the conference will take place in the middle of a
Ph.D. course
(also in Copenhagen) on Inequality and Development.
Deadline for abstract: April 1.
Deadline for submission of full paper: May 1.
Expected decision on submission: May 15.
